Sloan is building on its existing relationship with the Chicago Cubs during the 2018 baseball season.
Entering its fourth season as the Official Water Efficiency Partner of the Chicago Cubs, the partnership represents a union between two family-owned, Chicago-based institutions. Not only does Sloan have a presence at Wrigley Field, it is the official naming rights partner of the Cubs’ Spring Training facility, Sloan Park, in Mesa, Ariz.
New to the park this season is the Sloan logo placement featured on the right-field visitors’ bullpen door within the ivy of Wrigley Field, along with logo placement in the opposing team bullpen and in a video feature during the opposing team’s relief pitching changes that highlights additional in-game branding.
“At Sloan, we’re proud of our century-long partnership with the ballpark, one that even pre-dates the ivy of Wrigley Field,” says Sloan President and CEO Graham Allen. “From one family-owned, Chicago-based company to another, it has been our honor to provide Cubs fans with commercial restroom solutions for more than 100 years.”
Sloan has been a pioneer in plumbing technology since 1906 when William Elvis Sloan invented the Royal Flushometer, just one year before the Cubs claimed their first World Series title in franchise history. A system designed for high traffic environments; the Royal Flushometer provided the framework for a century of Sloan products.
That century of evolution signaled the dawn of water-saving and hands-free products that are a hallmark across Sloan product lines. At Wrigley Field, Cubs coaches, players and fans can rely on sensor faucets, soap dispensers, sinks, toilets, urinals and flushometers from Sloan. Each fixture with hands-free hygienic operation was installed as part of the Cubs multi-year restoration and expansion of Wrigley Field, known as the 1060 Project.
Sloan Park, in Mesa, Ariz., also features a full line of hands-free products from Sloan, including AER-DEC integrated sinks, welcoming the Cactus attendance of 222,023 this spring. The all-in-one AER-DEC elements, including BASYS Faucets, Sloan Soap Dispensers and High-Speed Hand Dryers, are deck mounted on the patent-pending AirBasin sink and designed to work together as a touch-free, hygienic and efficient system.
Sloan is positioned to ensure restrooms in ballparks like Wrigley Field and Sloan Park save water and perform at maximum capacity to serve these high-traffic environments.
Wherever crowds go for entertainment, Sloan products deliver performance.
“We are thrilled to see our partnership with Sloan expand since they joined our team as a legacy partner in 2015,” says Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts. “From our spring training home in Arizona to the Wrigley Field campus, we are excited to continue our relationship with the Allen family and everyone at Sloan. They are committed to water sustainability and sustainability for their employees and the communities they serve.”
