AltusGroup has issued a 16-page brochure detailing its flagship CarbonCast technology and CarbonCast High Performance Insulated Wall Panels and CarbonCast Insulated Architectural Cladding.
The brochure details how CarbonCast High Performance Insulated Wall Panels offer thermal efficiency as a result of C-GRID carbon fiber grid that is used as a shear truss to connect the sandwich panel’s inner and outer wythes of concrete. The panels offer continuous insulation to meet ASHRAE 90.1 requirements and allow for the architect’s choice of EPS (including graphitized), XPS, polyiso or epoxy foam insulation.
CarbonCast Insulated Architectural Cladding is also highlighted. Its use of C-GRID carbon fiber grid also delivers continuous insulation for energy savings. Panels can weigh up to 40 percent less than conventional 6 to 8-inch thick architectural precast for lower transportation costs and improved seismic performance.
The brochure displays project photography to inspire architects and show the versatility of the CarbonCast system. Detail drawings and a discussion of finish options including the use of Graphic Concrete imaging technology are also included. Further, the literature offers an overview of CarbonCast’s testing as well as its sustainability and resilience benefits.
Since its introduction in 2004, CarbonCast technology has been used on over 1,500 projects comprising more than 45 million square feet of surface area, delivering performance and aesthetic freedom for the building team.
