Calbond, a USA supplier and manufacturer of PVC coated conduit and fittings, provides an aluminum option that is lighter and easier to install than the comparable steel line. Corrosion is one of the biggest enemies for a number of industrial installations, including chemical and petrochemical plants, wastewater treatment facilities, power plants, offshore platforms and breweries, among others.
For additional corrosion protection, Calbond PVC coated conduit bodies feature a minimum thickness of 0.002-inch urethane on the interior and exterior of the fitting and are then coated again with a 40-mil PVC coating on top of the urethane, providing an additional layer of protection against accidental nicks and/or cuts from improper assembly tools during installation. All fittings incorporate flexible overlapping sleeves ensuring a tight seal at every connection. The conduit comes standard with a 40-mil PVC coating over the outside of the conduit and a 2-mil urethane coating on the interior of the conduit and on the threads.
In addition to Calbond’s commitment to providing top-quality conduit and fittings for any potential project, Calbond maintains the shortest possible lead times and competitive pricing. Our quality assurance program ensures that all of our products are engineered, tested, and certified to meet or exceed the industry standards. All Calbond products are made in the USA with no exceptions.
