Hendrick Architectural Products has introduced its new Profile Bar anti-slip entrance grating, which offers nearly double the minimum “coefficient of friction” for walking surfaces as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act and by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Profile Bar features Hendrick’s proprietary interlocking construction, which is believed to be the strongest metal entrance grating available. It can be manufactured with slot openings from 0.005 inches to 2 inches and flatness to 0.06 inches.
For the patent-pending entrance grating, Hendrick has SlipNOT stainless metallic coating applied directly to the surface of Profile Bar wire or to alternating strips of stainless steel inserted between the wire.
By helping to control chemical and dirt pollutants, the anti-slip entrance grating keeps lobbies and interiors cleaner. Other attributes include corrosion resistance, design flexibility, Hendrick’s unique ability to curve the wires, and precise alignment with wires and supports.
