Armstrong Flooring announced that Natural Creations with Diamond 10 Technology has received a Product Innovations Award (PIA) in the Surfaces category from Architectural Products magazine. The PIAs honor innovation in the development and refinement of interior and exterior buildings-related products. The award recognizes manufacturers who have demonstrated leadership across different platforms such as education, sustainability initiatives and standards development. Of the thousands of product ideas brought to market each year, the PIA winners represent the best.
This year’s program saw hundreds of submissions from a diverse range of products that will help architects in their specifications; whether it be to achieve more energy efficiency, or to add visually or aesthetically to a space.
“Building on the success of last year’s program, our sixth edition of the awards proves commercial building manufacturers are committed to, and are working arduously toward, delivering more sustainable products, as well as products that deliver better performance, life and affordability,” says Jim Crockett, editorial director of Architectural Products Magazine.
Natural Creations Luxury Flooring with Diamond 10 Technology made a debut at NeoCon, offering three design collections. Designed for creative flexibility, the products meet the budget, sustainability and performance needs required by interior designers and architects and end-users alike. Natural Creations comes standard with Armstrong Flooring’s Diamond10 Technology, which uses the hardness of cultured diamonds to keep it looking new through years of use. The cultured diamonds protect Natural Creations floors from scratches and scuffs. By repelling dirt and stain-causing agents, Diamond10 Technology keeps Natural Creations cleaner longer without the need for polishing.
With the quality that architects and designers have come to expect of Armstrong Flooring, Natural Creations with Diamond10 Technology was designed in direct response to commercial interior performance needs and design trends. Available in a range of colors, patterns, sizes and themes, the product line is arranged in three primary design categories:
- ArborArt: More than 50 naturally inspired wood visuals in color and design combinations that span the entire spectrum, from the browns of traditional oak and the bold grain of tigerwood to weathered driftwood and even petrified wood looks.
- EarthCuts: These large-scale tiles draw design inspiration from beauty beneath the ground, including natural stone, minerals and metallic ore. A palette of neutrals range in tone from cool grays to warm beiges with the detail and variation of the materials that inspired them.
- Mystix: The Mystix collection dabbles in textures, textiles and hand-painted art. A palette of brights adds a pop of color to commercial spaces.
