ASSA ABLOY has announced its Group brands HES and Securitron are joining to create ASSA ABLOY Electronic Security Hardware. As the security industry transforms from product based sales to complete solution sales, this merge reflects the ASSA ABLOY customer-facing strategy to deliver continuity and simplicity to customers.
With more than 40 years of developing electric strikes, electromagnetic locks and accessories, HES and Securitron have established global reputations by enabling customers to add electrified access control to any new construction or retrofit application. The joining of these two storied companies creates opportunities for innovation.
“ASSA ABLOY Electronic Security Hardware is focused on simplifying business for our customers as much as possible,” says Scott Baker, president, ElectroMechanical & High Security Group. “Electronic access control products and applications can be complicated but the interface between our customers and our business needs to be as simple as possible. With our sales force, operations team and purchasing process already combined, brand consolidation is the next step to make sure we are working at the leading edge of simplifying our business.”
ASSA ABLOY Electronic Security Hardware will feature both the HES and Securitron brands. The Securitron no-fault, no questions asked warranty will extend to the HES product portfolio. While all of the HES and Securitron products that customers know and trust remain available, the combined product portfolio will expand with increased offerings in cabinet locks, power supplies and low power locking solutions.
To assist customers during this transition, legacy products will retain the HES and Securitron names as product identifiers (HES 1006, Securitron M62). The same customer care and tech support teams are available at (800) 626-7590 or [email protected].
