CENTRIA Resolves Patent Dispute

CENTRIA and Cleburne Sheet Metal have amicably resolved their dispute concerning Cleburne’s alleged infringement of CENTRIA’s United States Design Patent Nos. D527, 834 and D538, 948, which cover architectural building panel designs in CENTRIA’s Concept Series product line.

Cleburne has agreed to cease all further manufacture and sale of Cleburne’s BB Elite, BR Elite and RB Elite wall panel products that were accused of infringement. Pursuant to the parties’ agreement, Cleburne will continue to sell its SB Elite wall panels. The lawsuit pending in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania (Civil Action No. 2:12-cv-00954-NBF) has been dismissed by a joint stipulation of CENTRIA and Cleburne.

Rick Mowrey, sirector of Business Development at CENTRIA, made the following statement: “CENTRIA continually innovates new products for the building products industry and aggressively protects its intellectual property. As part of CENTRIA’s ongoing efforts to protect and enforce its intellectual property rights, CENTRIA will continue to pursue those who manufacture, use, sell, offer for sale, or import products that infringe any of CENTRIA’s United States design patents.”
