Navien’s NFB-C Commercial Condensing Fire Tube Boilers have been honored with the Spaces4Learning 2020 New Product Award and the FacilitiesNet 2020 Vision Award.

The Spaces4Learning New Product Award program honors the product development achievements of manufacturers and suppliers whose products or services are considered to be noteworthy in their ability to enhance the learning environment.

The FacilitiesNet Vision Awards honor innovation and excellence in products that contribute to the operations and management of institutional and commercial buildings in the U.S. An independent panel of facility executives reviewed and judged Vision Awards entries.

Navien’s NFB-C commercial condensing fire tube boilers received these awards for their 97.5 percent thermal efficiency which lowers operating costs for building owners, superior product engineering and numerous advanced features and benefits.

Each NFB-C boiler uses a stainless steel heat exchanger that is form-pressed and robotic laser welded to minimize the number of weak points that could be prone to thermal stress and corrosion. Oval shaped tubes within the heat exchanger contain internal turbulators designed to improve both the heat transfer rate and the structural integrity of the assembly. A specific water flow is generated by baffles inside the heat exchanger to extract the maximum amount of heat from flue gasses while the non-metallic base provides additional protection against corrosion caused by acidic condensate.

Features of NFB-C boilers include top and bottom piping connections for installation flexibility and a 7-inch color touch screen display with intuitive navigation for setup, troubleshooting and operation. The gas flow control systems offer up to a 15:1 turndown ratio and low NOx levels, certified by SCAQMD to meet code requirements. Low exhaust gas temperatures allow the NFB-C to be installed using multiple venting options including PVC, CPVC, polypropylene and stainless steel. NFB-C can be installed with 3-inch venting up to 60 feet or 4-inch venting up to 150 feet.

Optional accessories allow each NFB-C boiler to connect to building management systems through Modbus, BACnet or LonWorks protocols. NFB-C boilers are NaviLink wi-fi remote compatible, cascade capable up to 16 units, common venting capable up to 4 units and are certified for high-altitude installations up to 10,100 feet.
