Oldcastle Architectural is expanding its masonry collection with the introduction of InsulTech, a complete Insulated Concrete Masonry Unit (ICMU) system that offers energy efficiency and moisture management performance benefits with the assurance of standard installation.
The new InsulTech ICMU system offers standards in energy efficiency, wind-load resistance and Fire Integrity that will present an exciting new option for architects, developers and builders alike.
Comprised of a pre-assembled Structural Masonry Unit (SMU), molded expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation insert and thin veneer face, the InsulTech ICMU system is installed as a complete assembly and is fully thermally broken units. The BASF Neopor EPS molded inserts provide a 15.2 R-value and meets the 2012 International Energy Conservation Codes (IECC) for Zones 1 through 7.
Wind-load resistance is achieved by the InsulTech ICMU system’s stainless steel metal anchors that form a connection between the structural block and the thin veneer face.
Featuring corner units and full/half sash units, the InsulTech ICMU system offers numerous interior and exterior color and surface options for design flexibility.
