Alloy LED has unveiled the AmpChamp family of RGB and RGBW terminal connectors, UL Recognized terminal connectors for color-changing tape lights. Featuring a patent-pending design, the connectors offer secure, fast and reliable tape light to wire connections while accommodating tape lights as narrow as 0.4 inches (10 millimeters).
The AmpChamp RGB and RGBW terminal connectors’ patent-pending staggered and stacked compact design allows for use with smaller tape lights, meeting more color-changing application needs. The high corrosion-resistant copper alloy content provides unmatched connectivity and one of the tightest connections in the industry, solving the problem of slippage and connections that loosen over time, offering the ultimate in reliability and reducing expensive contractor callbacks.
In addition to the high copper alloy construction, the AmpChamp connectors’ high amp limit enables longer tape light runs on a single connector. The connectors are compatible with solid core, tinned and stranded wire. For added convenience, the AmpChamp connectors are pre-installed with a six-inch lead of 20 AWG, CL2 in-wall rated wire with tinned leads at one end. A super-strong, adhesive tape on the back of the connectors provide quick, easy installation and excellent strain relief.
An extension to the company’s AmpChamp connectors product line, this family is offered in four sizes to fit Alloy LED Radialux RGB and RGBW tape lights. The connectors simplify a distributor’s inventory, as there isn’t a need to stock different connector styles and lengths. The compact size ensures that it easily installs into a wide selection of Alloy LED’s popular aluminum channels with diffusers.
Alloy LED is the only company to manufacturer a terminal connector for every LED tape lights it offers, providing customers complete — and convenient — solutions.
