Crossville Inc. has launched a new version of its website. The updated site is designed specifically to provide information and inspiration for interior designers, architects and professional product specifiers. From a fresh graphical user interface to smart search functionality, the new website is constructed to provide an enhanced experience for site visitors from across the architectural and design community.
“We went straight to our primary audience for insights on how to create the new incarnation of crossvilleinc.com,” explains Lindsey Waldrep, V.P. of Marketing for Crossville. “We asked designers what they wanted and needed most from the websites they visit, and their input helped guide development of the new site.”
Importantly, the site is now optimized for viewing and easy navigation on smartphones and tablet computers. According to Waldrep, the designers surveyed were clear about the need for mobile device accessibility.
“If a designer is in a meeting with a client and wants to pull up an example of a Crossville tile installation or close-up shot of a tile, it’s now very simple to access these images and information on a tablet or smartphone. Designers have the full wealth of Crossville product knowledge literally at their fingertips anywhere they have an Internet connection.”
Whether accessed on a desktop/laptop computer or mobile device, the site’s streamlined and intuitive navigation system makes browsing the full spectrum of Crossville products efficient. A SmartSearch bar combs through results by category: products, articles, solutions, and inspirations. Product searches can also be filtered by material, application, or color to enable viewers a more efficient, targeted online experience.
Photography is prominent to help tell the story of Crossville’s products in application. The site offers inspirational resources, including a photo gallery, video compilations, and case studies detailing successful installations of Crossville products across the country.
“We want those who make specifications to be able to easily imagine our products in their spaces. That’s why we reimagined our website … so that it’s a source of inspiration and a valuable tool for the A&D community,” Waldrep summarizes.
