Cortet has enhanced the capabilities of its lighting control app designed for use in commercial lighting. Now, customers can increase the number of gateways, devices and zones that are part of a network. New features in the app also allow for customization of lighting behaviors for added energy savings and occupant comfort.
The latest version of the Cortet app allows end users to increase the scale of their networks with the ability to connect up to six gateways. Increasing the number of gateways in the lighting network brings the threshold of total devices in a network up to 720 and total primary zones up to 180. Each zone can be programmed to have settings based on the usage and environment of the spaces contained within the zones.
New features in the Cortet app include the ability to better define how lights should behave based on occupancy. The Occupancy Behavior Configuration setting allows users to choose between automatic and manual occupancy-based lighting adjustments, full versus partial and more. There is also an added Receptacle Control feature in the app, so fixtures can be turned on or off at the receptacle via the app as well as automated schedules.
Other new controls in the Cortet app include Time-Switched Zone Scheduling and Occupancy Sensor Test Mode.
Cortet offers two ways for products to become part of its connected lighting solution. Products that achieve Cortet certification are tested and guaranteed to be compatible with other components in the Cortet Lighting Control System. The Cortet Lighting Control System is one-stop sourcing for gateways, switches, receptacles and all other necessary devices to achieve building control. Through the Powered by Cortet program, luminaire OEMs interested in expanding product offerings beyond static lamps and luminaires can integrate certified products into their current solutions to generate new revenue streams without investing time and money into new product development.
