Desso and Masland Discontinue Cooperation

Desso, a global carpets and sports pitches company, and Masland Contract, a division of the Dixie Group Inc., a U.S. floor coverings company, have decided to discontinue their cooperation following the anticipated acquisition of Desso by Tarkett, a global provider of innovative and sustainable solutions for flooring and sports surfaces.

“In our partnership with Masland both companies have demonstrated a tremendous amount of commitment to make this a successful and enjoyable, cooperation”, said Alexander Collot d’Escury, CEO of Desso. “We wish Masland all the best in their future business endeavors.”

The termination of the contract between Masland Contract and Desso includes both the joint venture in hospitality as well as the distribution agreement for Desso carpet tiles by Masland Contract in the United States. Desso will remain active in the commercial tiles business as well as the hospitality industry in North America.

Running orders will continue to be serviced by the respective individual sales representatives in order to have the minimum amount of disturbance for our customers.
