Duradek has surpassed the milestone of achieving more than 150 million square feet of vinyl waterproof deck surfaces in North America and beyond.
The brand name Duradek is often used synonymously with vinyl decking.
For more than 40 years, the company has been owned and operated by Bob and John Ogilvie who have built the brand with a family-run business. Now, generations later, Bob and John still maintain a leadership role in the direction of the company, but the day to day business is led by Bob’s daughter, Jennifer Ogilvie Brackett. Jennifer and the management team have a combined 90+ year history with Duradek and look forward to continuing to grow the brand and the vinyl decking industry. Duradek has evolved from a regional business, to a North American brand, to an international brand with active distributors in New Zealand and South Korea.
First introduced in the Okanagan region of British Columbia in 1974, the vinyl decking industry has included Duradek for more than four decades and now vinyl decking has become its own deck building products sub-category. Today there are at least 10 brands of vinyl decking in the marketplace. Duradek maintains a third-party quality control program and offers tested products that meet or exceed building code requirements.
