Expanko Resilient Flooring Receives Red List Free Declare Label

Expanko Resilient Flooring, a brand of the Stonhard Group, has announced that The Living Building Challenge has awarded a Red List Free Declare Label to Sereniti Rubber Flooring, part of its commercial flooring products.

The Living Building Challenge is a sustainability certification program for the built environment. This initiative is designed to encourage a healthy materials economy that is non-toxic, transparent and socially equitable.

Referred to as a nutrition label for building products, a Declare Label lists the ingredients or materials in the product, final assembly, life expectancy and end of life options. In order to qualify for a Declare Label, a building product must either be free of, or declare any harmful Red List chemicals. Declare facilitates communication between manufacturers, building product specifiers and consumers.

Sereniti Rubber Flooring, includes tile, sheet, and stair tread options that leverage sound absorption, comfort, beauty and environmental sustainability. Expanko is proud to implement the Declare label while maintaining a commitment to deliver environmentally responsible products.
