The Frameless Hardware Co. (FHC) is proud to announce the completion of the expansion of its Southern California facilities. The expansion project has doubled the company’s footprint, workforce, and capacity, allowing for the addition of complete metal fabrication capabilities. Along with capital investments in machinery and personnel additions in Q1 and Q2, its completed expansion includes in-house engineering, research and development, and testing departments. The developments come at a time of increased industry demand for domestically sourced products amid supply chain uncertainty resulting from pandemic market impacts.
FHC’s first foray into manufactured products began with the launch of their Corona Guard Protective Glass Barriers in rapid response to growing demand for effective protection from virus transmittance in retail, hospitality, office, and healthcare sectors. Following suit, the company has just launched its FHC Advance Series HERC-DOOR Frameless Door Rail System for glass entrances. The heavy glass door system was designed, engineered, manufactured and tested entirely in FHC’s South Gate facilities. FHC has multiple product launches slotted in the coming months.
“This expansion has successfully positioned FHC as a vertically integrated building products manufacturer,” says Armando Rodriguez, vice president of manufacturing at FHC. “We now have better quality and process controls in place that will ultimately deliver a better product with shorter lead time while significantly expediting the path to market for new product development. While this certainly gives us a competitive edge, the real winner is the customer. They’ve been the priority since day one.”
