GRAPHISOFT has again been recognized with two Best of Show awards in the BIM and Desktop categories by Architosh, an online publication devoted to Mac and iOS CAD and 3D software professionals and students. The awards are announced based on software and technology that was exhibited at this year’s AIA National Convention in Atlanta.
Architosh Editor-in-Chief Anthony Frausto-Robledo, AIA, LEED, AP selected what he considered the best software in four categories: Desktop, Mobile, BIM and Innovation. ARCHICAD 19 by GRAPHISOFT received top honors in the BIM category and was named runner up Best of Show in the Desktop category.
This is the second year in a row that GRAPHISOFT has received the Best of Show award in the BIM Category, which recognizes tools that contribute value in specific BIM workflows emerging in the field. Of ARCHICAD 19, Frausto-Robledo says, “ArchiCAD 19 was only recently announced but has already garnered impressive reaction within the industry. GRAPHISOFT is relentless in its attack on its competitors in the area of raw horsepower, recognizing the limitations of sizable BIM models and the need for ever faster performance by tapping into the trend lines of microprocessor evolution.”
Pete Evans, AIA adds: “GRAPHISOFT’s predictive background processing is very accomplished for a BIM tool. Refining the timing (through this patented technology) between the user and the software interaction is critical for fluid design and production. I’m very impressed!”
“We are pleased and honored the Architosh editors selected ARCHICAD 19 for a Best of Show award,” says Steve Benford, GRAPHISOFT North America managing director. “ARCHICAD 19 demonstrates GRAPHISOFT’s ongoing commitment to representing the industry in innovation and speed while providing the AEC space with the very best tools that support profitability and design creativity.”
