Materials
Mediamesh panels were used on the 4-story, 1,400-square-foot parking garage. Two semi-transparent screens with embedded LED profiles draw traffic and attention from the nearby interstate. There are 14 mesh panels total; each is 12.85-feet wide by 30-feet long. Together they clad two stories of the parking garage on the north and northwest sides of the building. The design is configured to accommodate six LEDs instead of five, which creates a brighter output level while pumping less power to each pixel. This extends the life of the LEDs while increasing energy savings. The transparency of the material also allows the parking garage to be naturally ventilated, negating the need for mechanical ventilation.

The Retrofit
Operated by the Chickasaw Nation, the 435,000-square-foot casino includes a 395-room hotel and 3,000-seat Global Event Center. The integrated LED profiles were arranged 2 inches apart vertically and 1.7 inches horizontally to ensure the lighted Winstar World Casino logo would display well in the daylight.
