The powers of innovation and imagination will converge in a presentation of light and technology at LIGHTFAIR International 2017 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia May 7–11 (Pre-Conference LIGHTFAIR Institute: May 7–8; Trade Show & Conference: May 9–11).
Attendees from around the world will explore the future of lighting design at the annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference, with the 2017 LIGHTFAIR trade show floor showcasing two new pavilions. The conference program will offer courses and topics featuring new speakers, keynotes and education sessions. A networking schedule will give attendees the opportunity to make connections with industry professionals from around the world.
LIGHTFAIR 2017 will afford attendees new discoveries, new connectivity, new knowledge and new solutions propelling lighting design into the future. Two new pavilions—Intelligent Lighting and IoT—will display products and solutions showcased in product presentations featuring technology and connectivity innovations.
The Intelligent Lighting Pavilion features lighting solutions that provide the benefit of controlling the lighting in a space by using sensors and data to maximize efficiency and energy savings.
The IoT Pavilion displays the technology used to create a network that uses the power of connectivity to achieve more efficiency, reduce operation costs and collect data.
LIGHTFAIR’s conference program is where lighting and design professionals learn about what’s on the horizon. The knowledge shared by industry practitioners informs the global community of discoveries and practices. Courses range from 60 minutes to two days in length and cover relevant topics while providing insight and inspiration from the industry’s thought leaders.
The HUB will continue to be the interactive meeting space where those in the lighting and design community connect with colleagues from across the globe for networking, education and fun. There will be events in the New Exhibitor Pavilion which provide attendees the chance to view innovations from first-time exhibitors while enjoying refreshments.
Preceding and setting the stage for the trade show opening, the LFI Innovation Awards will highlight innovative products and designs introduced during the last 12 months. The presentation will take place on May 9, beginning at 8 a.m., with the LFI trade show floor opening at 9 a.m.
Lighting and design professionals will connect with LIGHTFAIR via social media using #LFI2017.
