Maxxon Corp. has announced the formation of a strategic leadership team to be led by executive vice president of Maxxon operations, Joshua Jonsson. Maxxon Corp. pioneered the gypsum underlayment industry with the invention of Gyp-Crete in 1972 and continues to lead with a commitment to quality products and service. Maxxon Corp. is owned by MaxTech Inc. under the direction of Ron Pieper, CEO and president. The move was initiated by the MaxTech Inc. executive team to endorse Maxxon Corp.’s commitment to advancing innovation in floor preparation. This leadership team possesses more than five decades of underlayment industry expertise.
Maxxon Corp. recruited Jonsson in 2002 to help lead its then fledgling commitment to understanding floor/ceiling acoustics and developing sound control solutions. A graduate of Bethel University, Minneapolis, with a BS in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Jonsson initially applied his degree in vibration analysis and acoustical testing of building components. With Maxxon, Jonsson has led a variety of cross-functional projects ranging from new product development to strategic realignments.
Maxxon Corp. is privileged to announce the addition of a valued expert to the leadership team. Joining Maxxon Corp. as executive vice president, sales and marketing, Philip Ciesiulka brings with him a wealth of flooring industry knowledge and experience. Prior to joining Maxxon Corp., Ciesiulka helped lead USG’s Tile and Flooring Solutions division, playing an integral role in the development of their Performance Flooring business and leading the team’s growth efforts as vice president of sales. Ciesiulka is a DePaul University graduate, where he received his MBA in Operations Management.
Rounding out the leadership team is vice president of research and development, Erik Holmgreen, Ph.D. Holmgreen received his doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Ohio State University focusing on the characterization and testing of heterogeneous catalyst systems. He then spent over a decade in a variety of R&D roles with Honeywell; leading new product development teams and research operations around data quality and test design. Since joining Maxxon in 2017 he has employed his Six Sigma Black Belt training to position R&D for data-driven new product development. He additionally has responsibility for quality assurance programs and field technical support. Innovation is cornerstone to the MaxTech Inc. mission, and the formation of the Maxxon Corp. leadership team ensures its commitment to advancing the industry. In 2022, Maxxon Corp. and the gypsum underlayment industry will celebrate 50 years in existence. Under the team’s direction, Maxxon Corp. will leverage the opportunity to advance innovation, education and service to the building and construction industry.
