As a sustainable real estate development, designers at Maximus turned to Oakland-based Móz Designs to create two new metal partitions for their corporate office space.

Maximus Real Estate Partners is a real estate investment and development company in the San Francisco Bay Area. With over 5,000 multifamily apartments and 7,000 in the pipeline, the company is leading a revolution in the real estate industry. Their mission is to create mindfully innovative, sustainable whole living communities that transform the concept of urban living.

For the design of their corporate office, Studios Architecture aimed to support the Maximus green building initiatives by sourcing only locally and sustainably manufactured products. As neighbors in the Bay Area, Móz Designs laser cut metal sheets offered an ideal material solution for the Maximus office. Matte black aluminum panels finished with the Móz laser-cut Morph pattern infuse the office with a dotted gradient.

Móz designs and fabricates architectural metal products out of Oakland, Calif. Its collection of materials and colorways, metallics, gradients, and patinas, are the result of continuous experimentation with tools, digital imagery, and handcrafted engravings.

The Móz team redefines metal surfacing using a balance of color, texture, and grain to make architectural metal products crafted for industrial, commercial, and residential markets, from large-scale corporate projects to one-off surface applications. Its solutions and dedication to customer service help Móz clients achieve their designs through materials and solutions.
