Aspiring architects who want to get expert help on the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) now have another resource—the ARE 4.0 Community on Google Plus.
The launch of the ARE 4.0 Community by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) provides a forum for examination candidates to connect with NCARB experts and each other.
“The ARE 4.0 Community gives candidates a supportive place to meet emerging professionals from across the country, share study tips and pick up valuable advice,” says NCARB Director of Examination Jared Zurn, AIA, NCARB. “The launch of the ARE 4.0 Community is another timely step in our continuing efforts to support intern architects on their path to licensure.”
Community members have access to a variety of useful tools to help them navigate the exam, including video tutorials on all seven divisions of the ARE. Candidates can also learn how the test vignettes are scored and self-evaluate their knowledge with sample questions.
Currently, about 28,000 candidates are preparing for the exam in 54 jurisdictions, where NCARB helps sets licensing rules and regulations.
“The community enhances an already rich body of test materials that NCARB provides, Zurn adds. “Now, in addition to providing exam guides, updates via ARE e-news, and the My Examination portal, for scheduling, report access and more—licensure candidates can further their understanding of the exam on Google Plus and share their examination experience with others.”
