The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) has published NEMA TCB 2-2017 Guidelines for the Selection and Installation of Underground Nonmetallic Raceways, which provides recommendations for the selection, shipping and handling, storage, and installation of underground, single-bore, nonmetallic ducts for power, lighting, and communications applications.
“This update features two new sections that detail step-by-step procedures for repairing broken conduit without removing existing conductors or cabling, and joining procedures for RTRC (reinforced thermosetting resin conduit),” says Andrew Nause, chair of the NEMA 5TC Polymer Raceway ProductsTechnical Committee.
NEMA TCB 2-2017 is available in hard copy and as an electronic download on the NEMA website.
