Nicole Harris, National Glass Association (NGA) president and CEO, was appointed to the CMA’s Board of Advisers for 2022.

Made up of 260 industry-specific manufacturing associations representing 130,000 companies worldwide, the CMA creates powerful partnerships across the industry and ensures manufacturers have the strongest possible voice.

“I’m honored to join my trade association peers to help articulate manufacturing’s key role in our country’s economic success,” says Harris, who served on a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) task group in 2021 under the leadership of CMA past chair, Anne Forristall Luke, president of the U.S Tire Manufacturers Association. “I look forward to helping this year’s chair, Philip Bell, president of the Steel Manufacturers Association, pursue his goals for the CMA and NAM.”

“Americans are counting on manufacturers to lead our economic recovery, deliver promising career opportunities and solve our global health crises, and the collaboration made possible through the CMA empowers our entire industry to rise to the challenge,” says NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons.

The CMA’s mission is focused on bolstering the industry’s nationwide grassroots mobilization efforts and improving the competitiveness of manufacturers in the United States. CMA members work with the NAM to unite the manufacturing association community, and the broader business community, around strategies for increased manufacturing job creation, investment and innovation in America.

Harris is a 32-year glass industry veteran and president of the NGA since 2014. Harris, her staff of 30 and NGA member volunteers advocate for the glass and glazing industry and deliver vital products and services to help glass companies succeed, living up to the promise of the 2018 combination of the NGA and the Glass Association of North America (GANA).
