Kimmerle Newman Architects (KNA) has completed renovations at 550 Hills Drive in Bedminster, N.J. These include a lobby renovation and a new amenity space with a fitness center, café and conference center. The three-story multi-tenanted office building is part of The Offices at Bedminster, a two-building, 190,000-square-foot Class A complex in Somerset County.

Built in 1989 as the commercial component of The Hills, a New Jersey master-planned development, The Offices at Bedminster is a central New Jersey preeminent office addresses. Ownership of the building, in partnership with Avison Young, a leasing agent for the complex, asked KNA to redesign the lobby and amenity spaces into an environment designed to maintain its competitive edge in the marketplace for years to come.

“550 Hills Drive is an office building located adjacent to the Hills Village Center retail center, but as with many Class A office spaces built in the 1980s, the interior of the property had become dated,” says Paul Newman, AIA, CID, KNA vice-president and partner. “KNA specializes in taking the existing elements of a building or space, and introducing design elements to transform them, making them feel new and modern.”

Comprised of six components, Kimmerle Newman Architects; Urban Studio; Real Estate Services; Workspace; Project Management and Branding, each with complementary specialties, Kimmerle Group has established a reputation for its design and development work in the areas of corporate architecture and interiors; education; healthcare; urban design and planning; industrial and retail; private and multifamily housing and historic preservation. Kimmerle Group is active throughout New Jersey, New York, and nationally across the U.S. The firm is headquartered in Harding Township, N.J. with offices in New York City.
