Larson Electronics LLC has released a portable power distribution substation that gives operators the flexibility to utilize 480V AC three phase electrical current to power 208Y/120V AC three-phase equipment on a single system. This 100-amp 75KVA power distribution panel contains three 100-amp time delay fuses, and 12 50-amp 2-pole 250V breakers on the secondary side, protecting 12 50-amp 250V CS8269 receptacles. This unit is ideal for indoor and outdoor use in plant turnarounds, shipyards and other temporary industrial applications.
The MPD-480D-75KVA-208Y.120-12X50A.208 is a 480V 3 phase portable power distribution substation that converts three phase 480V AC to 208Y/120V AC from a single power source. The primary side of this 75KVA unit distributes 480V using customer-provided cord to connect to a variety of power sources including generators or direct grid power. The 100-amp primary disconnect contains three 10-amp time delay fuses.
On the secondary side, the unit has 12 receptacles to power a variety of applications. The secondary side of the transformer feeds a NEMA 3R 225-amp 208Y/120V three phase main circuit breaker panel. This secondary panel contains 12, 50-amp 2-pole 250V breakers protecting 12, 50-amp 250V CS8269 receptacles. All receptacles are equipped with weatherproof covers to protect against outdoor conditions.
The MPD-480D-45KVA-208Y.120-12X120.20A-20C temporary transformer is mounted to a carbon steel platform with forklift skid pockets, locking casters and top located eyelet for lifting and transportation ease. The unit is constructed to withstand tough working environments during operational use. The unit is compliant with the NFPA 70 National Electric code, certified to UL 1640 and has a NEMA 3R rating that provides protection against dirt and water in open or confined spaces.
