Price Increase for Aquapas Redispersible Powders May Affect Adhesives, Plasters, Mortars and Grouts

Ashland Specialty Ingredients, a commercial unit of Ashland Inc., is increasing the price of its Aquapas redispersible powders globally. Aquapas redispersible powders are used in a wide variety of construction applications, including external insulating foam systems, construction and tile adhesives, plasters, mortars and grouts. The Aquapas redispersible powders price increase will be up to 7 percent. The increase is effective for shipments after May 1, 2014, or as contracts allow. This price increase is necessary to offset recent steep price escalations in raw materials.

Ashland Specialty Ingredients offers products, technologies and resources for solving formulation and product performance challenges in key markets including personal care, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, coatings and energy. Using natural, synthetic and semi-synthetic polymers derived from plant and seed extract, cellulose ethers and vinyl pyrrolidones, Ashland Specialty Ingredients offers comprehensive and innovative solutions for today’s demanding consumer and industrial applications.
