Focal Point LLC has expanded its product management team with the hiring of Ali Qureshi as senior product manager – downlights and cylinders and Shavonna Warren as associate product manager.
Qureshi comes to Focal Point with over a decade of experience in product management, primarily in the lighting industry, and holds a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering degree. With a career rooted in engineering, product management, and sales involvement where he led changes in the Middle East, Asia, and North America, Qureshi will be an asset to the future of Focal Point. He will lead the portfolio strategy and development process, conducting market research and analysis, introducing product improvements and line extensions, and adding new products and services.
When asked about his new employment with Focal Point, he says, “I am excited to be joining Focal Point. I believe my background will help in building a strategy that adds value to all of our customers – agents, architects, designers, and contractors.”
Warren also accepted the position of associate product manager with a focus on supporting Focal Point’s growing linear luminaires portfolio. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and brings with her experience in product management. Her background in managing various technical products in the fiber optics and medical industries have enabled her to develop acute skills and deliver proven results.
She is enthusiastic about the opportunity to support Focal Point as the organization continues to develop linear solutions that enhance architecture and create more comfortable environments.
“I am thrilled to be joining an organization with such a positive reputation in the lighting industry, and to be working with a team that is dedicated to delivering superior products,” says Warren.
Qureshi and Warren will report to Mike Thornton, chief marketing officer of Focal Point LLC. Commenting on the growth of the product management team, Thornton states, “Our aggressive product agenda requires focused, results-driven, technically savvy individuals. Ali and Shavonna display these attributes and share a wealth of experience that will positively impact our product strategy.”
