ProVia Receives Healthy Worksite Award

The Healthy Business Council of Ohio (HBCO) has recognized ProVia with a Silver Award for healthy worksite practices during its 15th annual, 2018 Healthy Worksite awards presentation. These awards recognize Ohio employers who demonstrate a commitment to employee wellness through comprehensive worksite health promotion and wellness programs. Applicants are scored on the extent that their wellness programs facilitate and encourage employee health, enhance productivity and ensure a healthy work environment.

A total of 73 Ohio employers were honored with the 2018 Healthy Worksite Award. Increasing the number of worksites receiving awards is an objective in Ohio’s Plan to Prevent and Reduce Chronic Disease: 2014-2018, an objective being led by HBCO.

ProVia operates a Corporate Care program that’s designed to empower employees and their families to live a fulfilling lifestyle that enriches the spirit, mind and body. It’s focused on enhancing employee well-being in 6 crucial areas; emotional, social, financial, physical, spiritual and professional.

When asked why a building products manufacturer would create such a program to support each employee’s well-being, Craig Mullet, VP of Corporate Care for ProVia, offers some insight. “We don’t view our ultimate purpose in life as simply building things. We view the company as a vehicle to work in each other’s lives. To help each other on this earth is what we are called to do.”
