Rebuilding Together, the nation’s leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership, is recruiting for its January 2013 AmeriCorps program.
Rebuilding Together CapacityCorps is a National*Direct AmeriCorps program with 65 full-time AmeriCorps members serving around the country. Members build the capacity of grassroots Rebuilding Together programs so that they may be more sustainable, effective and efficient in helping additional low-income homeowners in need.
CapacityCorps Members serve essential roles in building the capacity of their host site organizations in important program areas such as: recruiting and managing volunteers, performing direct home repair, engaging in homeowner outreach and building community partnerships.
January members will start their service with an orientation in Washington, D.C., followed by a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Workweek with the entire Rebuilding Together AmeriCorps program. Applications are currently being accepted for the January class.
