Independence LED Lighting, a U.S. manufacturer of LED tubes, has introduced a suite of low watt LED tubes. The new technology can now replace two fluorescent tubes with one LED tube, which greatly diminishes operating cost for owners and, in many cases, reduces the payback period to as little as one year.
The Independence LED difference is in the light engine that drives energy and operating cost efficiencies. Its tubes generally save 20 percent in efficiency and cost reduction over competing LED products.
Independence LED’s patent-pending tubes feature external independent drivers and aircraft grade aluminum deep fin heat sinks to provide the optimal thermal management and conductivity to keep the diodes cool and increase light quality and longevity. They consistently save 65 percent or more on electricity over T8 fluorescent tubes and metal halide fixtures.
Independence LED’s standard offering includes 12, 16, 22 and 29 watt tubes in 2 to 8 foot lengths and come with a 10-year warranty. Tubes are available in standard 3500, 4000 or 5000 Kelvin color temperatures. Lumens per watt is 100 for a Color Rendering Index of 85, and can reach as high as 112 for a CRI of 70.
Independence LED serves the commercial and industrial, warehousing, educational, parking garages, hospitality and multi-family residential markets.
