The Center for Environmental Innovation in Roofing‘s RoofPoint program has reached 200 RoofPoint registered projects. The announcement comes less than one month after the official public launch of the program.
RoofPoint is a voluntary, consensus-based green rating system developed by the center to provide a means for roofing contractors, building owners and designers to select roof systems based on long-term energy and environmental benefits.
“Reaching the 200th RoofPoint registered project is a testament not only to the program’s credibility, but to the importance of the roof in sustainable construction and the collective commitment of our industry to reduce the environmental impacts of the roofs we manufacturer, design and install,” says Craig Silvertooth, the center’s president. “I firmly believe support for the program will continue to grow from center members and other industry stakeholders.”
RoofPoint registered projects have been submitted by leading roofing contractors, design firms and manufacturers.
