Your next retrofit project could be your most rewarding with LG, a global leader in innovation. The LG Sensor Connect 2.0 system meets the needs of small- and medium-sized buildings that require a wireless lighting control solution, especially if they are constrained by cost. Building owners can retrofit traditional lighting solutions with smart energy-efficient LED lighting, reduce energy costs with automated controls, and save on installation costs with wireless lighting controls and ease of commissioning. It’s an intuitive and flexible way to provide pleasing, responsive light levels in the workplace and improve incentive eligibility.
Utilizing the ZigBee® protocol, the system integrates into partner control system solution providers like Current by GE and Autani. With the LG Sensor Connect 2.0 App loaded on an Android device, the system can operate without a higher networked element (e.g., gateway) and consists of any combination of a dongle, occupancy sensor, daylight harvesting sensor, and wireless switches. The wireless switch allows users to override the preset lighting controls and control lighting levels by group – adjusting in 100-step variables.
A component of the system, LG’s Commissioning App 2.0 is simple yet powerful, with a straightforward UI for easy control of the desired luminaires during setup. It enables you to upload floor plans and outline locations to map placements of lights. Visible Light Communication (VLC) commissioning minimizes errors by receiving ID data from beneath each luminaire, alleviating dependency on manually searching or using barcode stickers. Commissioning hours are slashed as ID data is received quickly, omitting the identifying device (on/off) step and thereby reducing tenant frustration.
