Working in an arrangement with Beacon Products, SEPCO has made Beacon’s Pierwalk into a solar-power outdoor system, SolarPierwalk LED. It is a 100 percent solar-powered, pole-mounted LED area, roadway, parking lot, walkway and perimeter light. SolarPierwalk LED provides white light specifically where needed. It is concurrently 100 percent self-storing and self-recharging.
SolarPierwalk LED is a contemporary outdoor luminaire design. Each unit arrives complete with LEDs, mounting pole and LED driver used to operate the fixtures from its integral solar-charged batteries.
Compact solar-panel assemblies for SEPCO SolarPierwalk are selected and programmed by SEPCO in-house solar-lighting engineers to recharge concealed storage-battery assemblies, customizing SolarPierwalk illumination to location and use.
Available in four designs, each SolarPierwalk LED light housing measures 17.5-inches round by 19.43-inches high. All relevant luminaire components are low-copper marine-grade cast aluminum for longevity.
Fixture wattages range from 15 to 60 watts, in a choice of IES Type III and Type V full-cutoff light-distribution patterns, for task-specific illumination. For ocean shore areas, SEPCO endangered sea-turtle LED lighting is also available.
Each LED has an individual optical lens. Fixtures are dimmable and meet IP66 ingress protection standards; are UL, cUL listed. LEDs have greater than 70 percent retained lumens after 50,000 hours. LED Driver life is 100,000 hours at 25C.
SolarPierwalk LED solar power assemblies range from 30 to 550 watts, with battery sizes providing a minimum of five days autonomy.
Light pole options are available by power-assembly size, local wind-load requirements, and with direct in-ground burial, anchor and transformer base options. SolarPierwalk LED mounts directly to decorative post-top poles with a separately mounted solar battery, or the solar panel can also be mounted lower on a pole design selected by the customer.
Polyester powder-coated finishes for luminaires, solar power assemblies, poles and other exposed components are available in Black, Bronze, Gray, Green or White, standard; custom colors are optional.
