Sound Seal announced that they have acquired Flemington, N.J.-based, Acoustical & Tackable Surfaces Inc. (ATS). ATS is a manufacturer and installer of acoustical wall and ceiling panels. The manufacturing of ATS panels will be transitioned to the Sound Seal manufacturing facility in Agawam, Mass.
“The ATS product and service portfolio is a perfect addition to our thriving architectural business,” says Joe Lupone, CEO of Sound Seal. “Our lean practices support a culture of continuous improvement, unmatched product quality and customer service. Furthermore, Sound Seal will extend sophisticated marketing and commercial resources that support rapid growth and scale. This acquisition is a prime example of Sound Seal taking another positive step toward strengthening our overall position in noise control.”
Scott Randolph, the founder of ATS, will join Sound Seal in the capacity of new business development. “ATS has been a strong and independent player in the architectural space for over 20 years,” says Randolph. “It is both satisfying and exciting to now transition this business that I have built from the ground up, to be a part of something bigger. The Sound Seal product portfolio is broad and robust. I am very excited to join this team and lend my experience to growing the architectural business.”
