LightShow West (LSW), a trade show and conference created for West Coast specifiers of commercial, architectural and high-design lighting products, announced that attendance at LSW 2018 Las Vegas surpassed expectations for its Las Vegas debut; hosting more than 1,700 qualified attendees, 215 exhibitors and a show floor of 28,800 net square feet.
“We had a great time at LightShow West!” says Heather Averett, senior lighting designer, Rocky Mountain Consulting Engineers. “There were some great speakers and I learned something from every session I attended,” she adds.
“You gotta see it before you spec it, and so LightShow West is where you come,” says Tom Ruzika, owner of Ruzika Co. “I just saw some festoon lights that I really like. I hadn’t seen them before, so I got to touch them, got to feel them; that’s what I like about the show.”
“I think LightShow West is in a great place and very, very well run,” says Marc Shiler, professor of architecture at University of Southern California. “In fact, what amazed me was how quickly registration was accomplished. I registered online in advance and the line was never more than five people long, or a minute or two to register on site. The quality of the material shown was great.”
“We are thrilled with the results of LightShow West 2018 in Las Vegas,” says LightShow West Show Director Lea Tranakos. “The event exceeded our expectations for attendance, bringing in more than 1,700 lighting industry professionals from around the country. We are grateful for the involvement of our Las Vegas lighting agency sponsors, the exhibitors who participated and all who attended, including our advisory board members and speakers.”
Historically a biennial trade show and conference, LightShow West is now an annual event scheduled to return to the Los Angeles Convention Center on Sept. 25-26, 2019. LightShow West will return to Las Vegas in the fall of 2020. To reserve exhibit space, contact Lea Tranakos at (770) 817-5906. For more information, visit online.
