Toshiba International Corp.’s LED Lighting division announced that its TLS-DCA8 LED downlight was selected for the 2013 Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Progress Report.
The Progress Report is designed to serve as a yearly review of achievements for the IES. Items included in the report are selected by the impartial IES Progress Report Committee which evaluates materials submitted from around the world based on their uniqueness, innovation and significance to the lighting industry. These materials include information regarding important new products, research, publications, and activities of the past year.
“To have one of our products featured in the prestigious IES Progress Report is truly an honor,” says Tammy Impagliazzo, director of marketing for Toshiba’s LED Lighting Division. “The inclusion of our TLS-DCA8 is a testament to Toshiba’s brand heritage of commitment to innovation and quality, and we look forward to continued advancements within the industry.”
The TLS-DCA8 downlight offers a variety of high lumen outputs (2800lm, 5500lm and 8500lm), multiple color temperatures (2700K, 3000K and 4000K) and is dimmable in 0-10v. The DCA is an ideal lighting solution for high ceiling environments such as auditoriums, shopping malls, atriums and concourses where optimal output, energy efficiency and low maintenance are all critical.
