Demilec Inc., a subsidiary of Huntsman Corp. and a manufacturer of open-cell and closed-cell spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation and coatings, hosted U.S. Congressman Ron Wright in Arlington, Texas. Demilec, which was acquired by Huntsman in 2018, develops products with renewable and recyclable content that is eco-friendly and energy-efficient through highly efficient insulation properties.
While at Demilec, the Congressman participated in a behind-the-scenes tour given by Carl Landes, plant manager at Demilec, and an up-close look at the research, development and innovation taking place at the facility. Congressman Wright and Demilec executives discussed the energy saving advantages of spray foam (SPF), and contributed to the congressman’s focus on Energy Independence for the U.S. Immediately after touring the production facility and R&D center, Congressman Wright addressed associates and discussed the company’s environmental initiatives, while also seeing a live SPF demonstration.
“Demilec’s product will help our country’s environmental footprint, and I enjoyed getting a closer look at this important venture and visiting with the team,” says Congressman Wright.
