Waldmann Lighting, the U.S.-based North American subsidiary of Herbert Waldmann GmbH & Co. KG, has announced that David Vrioni has joined the company as president. Former president Jan Schaefer announced her retirement earlier in 2017, after a career of over thirty years with the company, and has been working to ensure a smooth transition.
“We are pleased to have David join Waldmann as president of our U.S. subsidiary,” says Markus Wiedmann, Waldmann CEO. “We are confident his experience and leadership will complement our existing team, build on the success Jan has helped the company realize, and achieve some growth milestones in the coming years.”
“I am excited to join a company with the reputation of Waldmann Lighting”, says David Vrioni, Waldmann Lighting president. “We will be focusing on growth strategies in all product categories, which will be fueled by innovation and a continuous pipeline of new products.”
Vrioni comes to Waldmann with a background in operations, sales and marketing, product development, design engineering, quality management, supply chain and sourcing, having spent over thirty years in the manufacturing sector. He most recently led a professional lighting company for the last eleven years and holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University.
