3A Composites USA has announced the following appointments to the ALUCOBOND North American sales team, which represents its lines of ALUCOBOND PLUS aluminum composite material (ACM) and ALUCOBOND AXCENT aluminum flat stock in the building design and construction industry.
Mike Marushka has joined the ALUCOBOND team as sales manager for the Mid-Atlantic region, including Delaware, Md.; Washington, D.C.; northern Virginia; and West Virginia.
Marushka brings 10 years’ experience in sales and marketing, technical service, and engineering roles for leading manufacturers of architectural building products in both the U.S. and Europe, including Kingspan in North America, Kingspan in Central Eastern Europe, and Ruukki in Odessa, Ukraine. He holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering in Odessa, Ukraine. Prior to joining 3A Composites, Marushka served as Mid-Atlantic regional sales manager for Kingspan North America.
Marushka will focus on building and strengthening relationships for ALUCOBOND within the architectural and construction communities by offering technical expertise when partnering with architects, designers, fabricators and installers to determine best ALUCOBOND PLUS cladding solutions.
Joe Pebley has been named ALUCOBOND sales manager for the Southwest region, including Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Hawaii.
Pebley has worked in the building construction industry for more than 28 years and brings a wealth of knowledge in various metal components and materials as well as in metal fabrication and installation processes. Pebley owned a metal fabrication and installation company for eight years as well as served as a union sheet metal foreman for more than 20 years. Most recently, Pebley served as a manufacturer’s representative for Ariolite, Bilco, FunderMax, Metal-Era and Overly Manufacturing in Southern California.
In his role at 3A Composites, Pebley will be responsible for providing technical expertise and developing relationships within the architectural community as well as strengthening relationships with ALUCOBOND fabrication partners.
Les Traeger, who currently serves as Northeast regional sales manager for ALUCOBOND, has been named to the additional role of corporate identity (CID) manager. (Traeger will retain ALUCOBOND sales responsibility for the Northeast region, including Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.)
3A Composites has realigned its CID program to provide a more focused and strategic approach in building and strengthening relationships with key accounts and in supporting its regional sales managers to drive new business. As the key liaison between customer and internal teams, Traeger will facilitate a strategy in offering design solutions and technical expertise in support of CID programs. Additionally, he will create, manage and drive a comprehensive pipeline of specification opportunities to support sales objectives by further developing relationships between its fabrication partners and customers.
Traeger, who is a graduate of The University of Connecticut, joined the ALUCOBOND sales team in 2018. For seven years prior, Traeger held positions with various architectural building product manufacturers including serving as a territory manager for Trespa North America.
During his time in the industry, Traeger has been involved with the Construction Specification Institute and is certified as a construction document technician.
As the original aluminum composite material, ALUCOBOND PLUS has been developed to allow architects and designers to meet the fire performance requirements of today’s building standards while using ACM as the material of choice. Consisting of two sheets of .020-inch aluminum thermo-bonded to a fire retardant core, ALUCOBOND PLUS offers the proven product properties such as flatness, form-ability, durability and ease of fabrication. ALUCOBOND PLUS is manufactured in a standard 4-millimeter thickness.
ALUCOBOND AXCENT is a line of painted 0.040-inch thick aluminum flat stock designed for building trim and is ideal for matching projects clad in a wide range of like ALUCOBOND PLUS aluminum composite material (ACM) finishes.
