Crestline Windows & Doors has enhanced its protective process for wood components in its windows and patio doors to ward off rot and decay and prolong the life of the wood. The new process, Wood Shield, allows Crestline to extend its warranties on products with clad wood and primed wood exteriors, and interior factory finishes.
“We are completely confident in the durability and added protection that Wood Shield brings to our wood windows and doors that we’re able to warrant the products longer,” said Mark Schield, owner of Crestline Windows & Doors. “It’s exciting to introduce advancements that allow us to provide greater value to builders and homeowners.”
With the Wood Shield protective process, Crestline has extended warranties to 30 years on its Select 500TM vinyl clad windows and patio doors, Acclaim fiberglass clad windows and patio doors, and the Elite PremiumTM aluminum clad wood windows and patio doors. Crestline Elite primed wood windows and patio doors now carry a 10 year warranty. Factory-applied interior finishes, including pre-finished white latex and stained interiors, are now warranted for five years rather than one. The upgraded warranty terms apply to all orders delivered after Aug. 1, 2014.
