A Lot of Education, A Little Fun
The theme of this year’s seminar was “Power of Partnership,” highlighting the value of the strong partnerships between Duro-Last and authorized contractors, as well as the opportunities that those partnerships provide. Breakout sessions hosted by Duro-Last employees and industry experts covered topics, such as contractor websites, employee recruitment and retention, tax reform changes, Duro-Last installation tips and tricks, Duro-Shield Coatings, EXCEPTIONAL Metals insights, cost savings with Duro-Guard Polyiso and more.
Although education and networking were at the core of seminar activities, contractors were able to relax and celebrate throughout the event, as well. Attendees dressed to the nines for the annual Awards Banquet where contractors were recognized for their outstanding achievements throughout 2018, and everyone enjoyed a night of New York City magic at the finale party on the New York City set at Universal Studios.
Another fun event, the annual Dick Jozwiak Memorial Golf Tournament, hosted more than 25 teams this year. With an overall score of 65, Rodney Castilleja, Zach Cross, Jeff Strain and Kevin Strain from Parsons Commercial Roofing took home the First Place title.
“Every year we work hard to fill the Duro-Last Sales Seminar with as much relevant and helpful information as we can while also making it fun,” says Duro-Last Chairman of the Board Jack Burt. “We know it is something our contractors look forward to and we never let them down.”
