Eaton announced that the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Progress Committee has recognized four of its light-emitting diode (LED) luminaires for inclusion in the 2015 IES Progress Report. The progress report showcases products that provide significant technical advancement in the art and science of lighting over the last year. Eaton has had nearly 50 LED products accepted in the last five years.
All the products submitted for evaluation in the report undergo a rigorous assessment process and are judged based on their unique qualities, optical performance, efficiency, innovative features and overall significance to the lighting industry. Eaton’s four recognized products include LED lighting solutions designed for commercial, industrial, institutional and residential environments. The company has had 49 product accepted in the last five years.
Eaton’s 2015 LED accepted products include:
- Halo LED Undercabinet Gen. 2 Luminaire
- Halo HL6 ALLSLOPE 6-inch LED Downlight
- Portfolio LDA4A 4-inch LED Adjustable Downlight
- Metalux Cruze LED Luminaire
The IES Progress Committee is mandated to keep in touch with developments in the art and science of lighting throughout the world and provides a yearly review of achievements. The Progress Report includes important new products, research, publications and design tools from the past year.
The 2015 IES Progress Report will be presented at the IES Annual Conference in Indianapolis, Ind., on Nov. 9, 2015, and at local IES section meetings throughout the coming year. A summary of the report will be published in the January 2016 issue of Lighting Design + Application (LD+A) and posted on the IES website.
