Sloan has announced their BASYS Guided Handwashing Faucet, designed and engineered to make proper handwashing a seamless and intuitive process.
Equipped with an LCD display guide, the sensor-activated faucet provides self-guided instruction for users to follow a five-step handwashing process in compliance with the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) to improve hand hygiene.
Sloan’s faucet walks the user through the following five self-guided instructions to ensure a CDC-compliant handwash:
- Wet – Wet your hands with clean running water
- Lather – Lather your hands together with soap
- Scrub – Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds (LCD display provides a timed countdown)
- Rinse – Rinse your hands well under clean, running water
- Dry – Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them
Furthermore, these BASYS Faucets embed sensor technology where the water exits to initiate the flow of water on-demand, creating water-saving benefits and optimal hygiene for users.
With multiple heights to fit a number of applications, BASYS offers a modular platform of body types, features, and components to meet the needs of any handwashing environment.
Also, all existing BASYS Faucets can be retrofitted with interchangeable BASYS Handwashing Crowns to fit the needs of a particular installation and provide enhanced hygiene measures. This makes the faucet an ideal specification across diverse areas where handwashing compliance is a concern.
