Metl-Span will be bringing a green booth to Greenbuild, Nov. 20-22, 2013, in Philadelphia, to introduce its Envolution Architectural Products, the company’s branded line of architectural panels, trim items and accessories.
All carpet, signage and graphics in the eco-friendly booth are made from material containing at least 25 percent post-consumer recycled content material. All new accent lighting will utilize LED technology, and incandescent bulbs have been replaced with energy-efficient lighting. New flooring, counters and paneling will be certified low or zero-VOC. All promotional literature is printed on 100 percent recyclable paper.
Metl-Span’s emphasis on minimizing environmental impact is demonstrated by the company’s recent issuance of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). The comprehensive declaration provides descriptions of Metl-Span products according to ISO 14025 standards and discloses all relevant environmental information. Certified EPDs provided by quality manufacturers, such as Metl-Span, help designers, contractors and owners accurately assess a product’s impact on the environment through all phases of its life cycle.
Metl-Span pioneered many of the developments of insulated metal panels and continues to make significant contributions to design innovations and technology that shape industry standards.
